DRM Golf Mentiri

A very good turnout during DRM National's Day tournament despite the Public Holiday. Thank you for all DRMers and guest players for making it a memorable event.

Pantai Mentiri Golf Club's soggy fairway has created more challenges than usual (looking for their balls in 6 feet under). Despite that all players has shown great enthusiasm in playing their best. Well unlucky for the last flight for only finishing 16 out of 18 holes but salute to them for tying.

It was fun to see Brunei flag's theme as a few players are showing their patriotism to their country. G-Khai won the best dress with his red cap, yellow shirt, white sleeves and black pants.

Full details out shortly.

Asmadi wonders in RBA

04th February 2008

2008 season for DRM golf has kicked off in RBA on the 26th January 2008 with a bang with a great participation from fellow DRMers. A great start to a great year ahead.

Asmadi scored a nett of 72 to win the initial tournament of the year. Behing him the captain and Swee Meng.

It is worth to mention that AmirS (who plays golf only twice per year without practice) has manage to finish the game with a par in his hand (pun baik last inda apa lah). Asking if he wants to be a pro......."Nah....." what a waste of talent!!!!

2008 Greeting from Captain

14 January 2008

Dear DRM golfers,

Greetings from the Captain,,,,,,,,,,,,

I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone once again a happy, prosperous and joyful year 2008! I also wanted to take this opportunity to welcome our new DRM Golfers Association (DRMGA) members!

2007 was again another great year for DRM Golf. DRMGA has slowly and surely became a 'known' name in Tour competitions in Brunei Darussalam. This was evidenced by the notable increase in invited guests participation in our Tour events throughout 2007 season. Bravo and congratulations to all because this high level acceptance would not have happened without everyone's contribution. Keep up the excellent efforts. Lets give DRM Golf another huge bang in 2008 among the golfing community in Brunei Darusslaam.

With great pleasure, I attached herewith, our DRM 2008 Tour Calendar.

A few changes/improvements to the 2008 DRM Tour are:

1. Two new venues are included; Kelab Golf Miri (KGM) and Empire Golf & Country Club (depending on our negotiation on green fees).
2. Our organization of the 2008 Tour and the qualification for the end of year Battle of the Bridges will be changed slightly.
3. A new individual matchplay competition vying for the Captain's Challenge Trophy is introduced. Details are explained below.
4. Members handicap will be revised based on 2007 performance. Handicap software will be bought and a newly revised handicap based on the software will be effective by April 2008 (to be used effectively by our first Major _ DRM Pantai Mentiri Masters).

Agency News

Subsequent to disappointment from previous InTerView to reveal the BOTB golfer secret & strategy, Media Corp DRM willing to hire secret golf agent so-called " agent 10". Agent 10 renowned to be resourceful & reliable agent. With the scooter, SLR camera, trend-setter & high tech gear, agent 10 can be exist "anywhere" in this world & snatch information/photos in the speed of light. So far nobody know "agent 10" identity but rumours mention agent 10 look like this (still blurr identity):

Without time wasted, let's hear the dialogue between Agent 10 (A10) & Media Corp DRM (MC) in classified driving range in panaga today;

MC: So cemana, ada news on BOTB playerkah?

A10: Ada eh, tapi bayar $10 dulu...mana tahan free info saja.

MC: Agent 10 tah banar, chargenya pun $10, laterlah, info dulu..heee

A10: Ku dengar, Pg Joffren berlatih saturday in RBA & sunday in Jerudong last weekend kira simulate for BOTB lah.

MC: Eh bahaya tu eh, atu real simulationtu, banar2 ia mau menangtu.

A10: King Croc practise weekdays anilah & G-Ayub pun ku dengar cuti sehari & practise jua.

MC: Ish..ish..ish, sanggup cuti!! baru ia semangat..bagus2..lagi2 apa lagi..

A10: Spidey di RBA dapat 7 PAR & 2 Birdie.

MC: Wah!! tapi I think pakai paint killer spidey tu ah.

A10: Kalilah, Fairway Artist berlatih di Miri weekdays anilah pakai visualize method.

MC: U mean, he visualize Miri course to become Jerudong coursekah?? wah kuatnya imagination.

A10: Like thatlah, Renny so far play futsal only but he still dangerous.

MC: True, may be he practise swing during futsal lah.

A10: Kamal & Rafali currently practise in Panaga as if dorang dua saja in Final, tu nah dorang in hole 8...

MC: Salah course dorang berlatihtu, bah, if dorang melintas, kitani interview doranglah..kamal said 3 down!!!

A10: I heard Captain G-Rahim practice in KK.

MC: Eh jauh jua ia berlatih, as camp follower pun ia banar2kah....jangan2 ia naik gunung kk untuk ambil fitness...hee

A10: Tapi aku rasa, psycho hailmey & long lost captain ahmad may win the camp follower

MC: Same2, I saw Hailmey iron look flawless & capt Ahmad drivernya perfecto jua

A10: Atu sajalah info, bah bayar??

MC: Aku bayar $2 sajalah, maklumlah Hari Raya Haji discountlah.

A10: Bah manasajalah, cukuptu untuk bayar minyak scooterku..hehehe

The epic end here, till next time, hope to get more information from fruitfull "AGENT 10".

Sayo Naraa.

The InTerVieW

Virtually one week to BOTB, tense & stress arouse among the DRmmers golfer. Hardwork, physical fitness, mental vision & visualization can be elements to "WIN". Whatever the technique, nobody know who will win this year not until SUNDAY, 16th Dec.

Media Corp DRM were given opportunity to interview the 16 golfer. Let's see what their strategy " " & comment from Media corp DRM [ ]:

1) Faiz: " Actually me supposed to play SEA Gamelah but somehow I got mimpi that suggest me to play DRM lah"
[ If dapat mimpi ekor baik jua..hee]

2) Rafali: " Sorry coach, lama sudah kitani inda main weekend"
[Lain di tanya lain di jawabnya]

3) Pg Sham: " Smile...heeee"
[ Smilenya ani berbisa nie, bull croc lagi di salainya with smilenya atu waktu match play]

4) Kamal: " Boss, kita nie main kompiss ajelah..nak ke"
[ Aduh, di surau main kompiss, mau interview pun kompiss jua]

5) Sani: " Tahun ani cium hadiahku lagi nie, puttku sudahku bagi minyak si nyonyong"
[ Usulnya sapa main sama kedia cium bau harum saja ni]

6) Spidey: " Bah, bila beli scooter?? Aku pakai pain killer sajalah"
[I think Spidey berlatih pakai scooter kali ah]

7) Shamsul Wizard: "Bah, jadi ko beli RYDER, 15 ribu sajatu"
[Yang ani ceta pasal Rydertah pula]

8) Pg Joff/Shulin: " Bah jangan banyak makan chocolate nanti rosak gigi"
[Chocolate remind him extra stroke during match play game]

9) Serial Dude: " Need to play National futsal dude after BOTB on sunday"
[ Baik jua inda skydiving but I think wrong channel or priority kali]

10) Asmadi: " Mudahan jua inda kana panggil treasure hunt on sunday, if not Capt G-him in tu ah"
[ Syorkan banyak2lah berdoa]

11) G-Ayub: " Jai endo ado masaolah, seruma sebelum sambut pun on"
[ Aiyoo cakap jerman, translate: "aku inda ada masaalah, main sebelum pagi pun on"..eh..eh.. semangat jua]

12) BoBoy: " Arah pipe jus nya ada cracklah"
[ Macam ceta pasal lexus pula usulnya]

13) King Croc: "My croc technique is the weapon"
[ Peningku eh %@#$$$$**]

14) Bull Croc: "Refer to king croc technique"
[ Sama perguruan kali dorang dua ani]

15) Fairway Artist: " Visualize every detail including driving buggy"
[ Hope inda visualize gentlemen room ajelah...hee]

16) xGoldB: " Mau pegi ke Kebun, ambil photo2lah"
[ Yang ku liat gambar "Kerbau" di gambarnya bukannya "Kebun", confuse kali ia ani..]

On overall, media corp DRM felt disappointed due to most golfer didn't reveal their secret, untransparent & "OUT OF TOPIC" too e.g. scooter, futsal, kompiss, chocolate & extra2. In near future, interview need to be taken seriously. So far interview with Captain G-Rahim precisely transparent & emotional (World class example):

"Apa interview2, ce mani saja, biartah kamu main sendiri2 hari enam atu, aku main hari minggu sajalah, faham2lah. Tahun Depan kitani pakai software handicap, dari US ku beli, mana tahan buaya di sana sini, dari mana dorang datang indaku tau. Bah atu saja."

The end. GOOD LUCK BOTB.

Media corp DRM.

M Oil Dealer spills Glory in B.L.O.G

picture taken from B.L.O.G site

Since joining DRM this season, M Oil Dealer have shown consistency on claiming prize money in most of the DRM Tour participated. His existence in the Top 12 of the DRM ranking have proven his quality to challenge for the inaugural title of BOTB at the end of the year.

His recent win in the July Classic of the B.L.O.G (Brunei League of Golfpunks) is another warning to all DRM players.

Can anyone stop him? Will he be the next BOTB Winner?
